A full-time position is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in an elementary school setting located in Spring, TX. This contract role extends through the current school year, providing services within a large urban school district. Candidates must hold an active Texas SLP license and possess school-based experience. The ideal professional will have experience working with students who have special education needs, particularly autism or behavioral challenges.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Texas SLP license (required, with documentation)
- Valid speech-language pathology certification (SLP-CCC preferred)
- Demonstrated experience in school-based therapy settings
- Experience providing services to special education students, including those with autism and behavioral challenges
- Bilingual skills are a plus for itinerant positions
- Availability to work full-time (37.5 hours per week) from now through June 2026
Responsibilities:
- Provide therapy, evaluations, and collaborate on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Conduct speech and language assessments and attend referral meetings
- Participate in both campus-based and itinerant service delivery models, depending on assignment
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with educators and families
- Deliver evidence-based clinical services consistent with school needs

- East Houston area: Tijerina Elementary, Burnet Elementary, Laurenzo Early Childhood Center
- Southwest Houston: Herod Elementary School (caseload approximately 58 students)
